On July 26, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order against hot rolled carbon steel flat products from India.
In the review covering January 1, 2008, through December 31, 2008 and only one producer/exporter, namely Tata Steel Limited, the DOC determined the CVD margin of 577.28 percent ad valorem, which compares with the margin of 586.43 percent ad valorem in the preliminary determination of January 11, 2010.
Petitioners in the investigation are the United States Steel Corporation and Nucor Corporation.
