On Friday, May 14, 2010, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order against hot rolled carbon steel flat products from India.
The review covers four producers/exporters -- Essar Steel Limited; Ispat Industries Limited; JSW Steel Limited; and Tata Steel Limited -- during the period from December 1, 2007 through November 30, 2008.
The review that initially covered four producers/exporters, Essar Steel Limited; Ispat Industries Limited; JSW Steel Limited; and Tata Steel Limited, during the period from December 1, 2007 through November 30, 2008, has been rescinded for the latter three in the final determination in line with the preliminary ruling announced on January 8, 2010. The DOC said that they had no entries of subject merchandise into the United States during the period of review.
The DOC has calculated a weighted-average final dumping margin of 28.25 percent for Essar, the same as in the preliminary ruling. This compares with Essar's former dumping duty deposit rate of 5.01 percent.
