US DOC initiates CVD investigation against electrical steel from Asia

On Thursday, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) formally initiated countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of non-oriented electrical steel from China, Korea, and Taiwan.

The DOC will investigate 30 alleged subsidy programs in connection with China, 17 alleged subsidy programs in connection with Korea, and six alleged subsidy programs in connection with Taiwan.
