In February this year, the US DOC had announced its preliminary decision to impose countervailing duties on Chinese seamless pipes ranging from 11.06 to 12.97 percent. In April, the DOC preliminarily imposed AD duties ranging from 32.39 to 98.37 percent on the same products.

In 2009, China's seamless pipe exports to the US reached a value of US$0.182 billion.
