On August 1, 2006, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty order on steel concrete reinforcing bars (rebar) imported from Ukraine. On the basis of the notices of intent to participate and an adequate substantive response filed on behalf of the domestic interested parties and adequate responses from the respondent interested parties, the DOC conducted a full sunset review of this order. In the preliminary results dated November 27, 2006, the DOC found that revocation of the antidumping order would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping at the level indicated below:

Producers Weighted-average
                                                Margin
All others Rate, including Mittal Steel
Kryviy Rih/ Kryvorizhstal Steel Works........41.69 percent
Upon receiving no comments from the interested parties, the DOC has decided not to make any changes in the preliminary results. Accordingly, the final results of this review do not differ from the preliminary results.
