US DOC decides effective date for line pipe AD duties

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) published Friday its preliminary determinations in the antidumping (AD) investigations of certain welded API line pipe from Korea and Turkey, adding that the effective date for the duties will be on entries made on or after May 22, 2015.

 (1)  Korea

(a)  Hyundai HYSCO – 2.52 percent
(b)  SeAH Steel Corporation – 2.67 percent
(c)  All other Korean producers and exporters – 2.60 percent


(2)  Turkey

(a)  Borusan Mannesmann Boru Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. and Borusan Istikbal Ticaret – 9.85 percent
(b)  Toscelik Profil ve Sac Endustrisi A.S. and Tosyali Dis Ticaret A.S. – 3.11 percent
(c)  Cayirova Boru Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. and Yucel Boru Ithalat-Ihracat ve Pazarlama A.S. – 9.71 percent
(d)  All other Turkish producers and exporters – 3.29 percent

The DOC is scheduled to make its final determinations in both the AD and countervailing duty (CV) investigations of welded API line pipe from Korea and Turkey by the end of September.
