The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Thursday that it has confirmed import duties on steel nails from South Korea, Malaysia, Oman, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Antidumping duties ranged as high as 323.99 percent for Vietnamese producers—the DOC also found the country to be providing unfair government subsidies to its domestic steel industry and as such will be subject to countervailing duties as well.

The complaint was filed by Mid Continent Steel & Wire. A final decision from the US International Trade Commission (ITC) is due by June 27, 2015.
