US DOC begins review of Mexican wire rod and Chinese hangers

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the initiation of administrative reviews of antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders with an October anniversary date. 

The DOC initiated the following administrative reviews of AD orders involving steel products:

(a)  Carbon and Certain Alloy Steel Wire Rod from Mexico (A-201-830) - ArcelorMittal International America LLC; ArcelorMittal Las Truchas, S.A. de C.V.; DeAcero S.A. de C.V.; Hylsa S.A. de C.C.; Ternium S.A.; and Ternium Mexico S.A. de C.V.

(b)  Steel Wire Garment Hangers from China (A-570-918) from multiple companies.

The period of review is October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012.

The DOC initiated no administrative reviews of CVD orders involving steel products.
