US DOC announces preliminary dumping margins for Mexican wire

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Friday that it has preliminarily determined that galvanized steel wire from Mexico is being, or is likely to be, sold in the United States at less than fair value, as provided in section 733(b) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended.

The estimated dumping margins are:
Deacero S.A. de C. V.-61.54 percent
Aceros Camesa S.A. de C.V.-37.87 percent
All others-59.37 percent

Pursuant to requests from interested parties, the DOC will postpone for 60 days the final determination and extending provisional measures from a four-month period to not more than six months. Accordingly, it will make its final determination not later than 135 days after publication of the preliminary determination.

The products covered by this order can be found in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under the subheadings: 7217.20.3000, 7217.20.4510, 7217.20.4520, 7217.20.4530, 7217.20.4540, 7217.20.4550, 7217.20.4560, 7217.20.4570, and 7217.20.4580.
