US Department of Defense announces November contract award recipients

The US Department of Defense announced its latest contract awards Friday, which included multi-million dollar awards for large construction projects.

On November 12, Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based Purnell Construction Co., LLC was awarded a $13,064,983 firm-fixed-price contract.  The work will consist of constructing a continuous line of hurricane flood protection across the discharge basin at Belle Chasse No.2 Pumping Station on the east side of the Algiers Canal in Louisiana. 

On November 8, Kent, Washington-based Global Engineering and Construction, LLC was awarded a $165,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award task order for the preservation and maintenance of government medical and non-medical real property facilities.
