US CRC exports drop 5.8 percent in March

US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 47,993 mt in March, down 5.8 percent from February and down 7.6 percent from March 2016 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $51.5 million in March, compared to $53.3 million in the previous month and $49.1 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in March, with 26,430 mt, compared to 27,379 mt in February and 31,619 mt in March 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 20,019 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in March.
