UK's AlphaSteel commenced rebar production

UK steel producer AlphaSteel restated the production of rebars in South Wales two weeks ago. According to reports, the company is aiming to sell its rebar only in the UK market. It was previously reported that the company was aiming to restart its electric arc furnace (EAF) by the end of this year in order to supply its own billets. However, the company authorities now state that they are currently importing the billet and aiming to reach an annual rebar production capacity of 250'000 tons as soon as possible.
