Ukrainian steel product exports decline in Q1

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the January-March period of the current year Ukraine's exports of steel products decreased by 11.3 percent compared to the same period of last year to 5.414 million mt. In March alone, Ukraine's steel product exports increased by 19.2 percent compared to February, rising to 1.818 million mt.

In the first three months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 62.7 percent increase year on year in its steel product imports to 412,800 mt. In March alone, Ukraine's steel product imports increased by 16.5 percent compared to February, rising to 152,900 mt.
