In the January-May period of this year, Ukraine's exports of iron ore increased by 13 percent compared to the same period last year to 16.020 million mt, according to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom. Meanwhile, exports of iron ore from Ukraine increased by 8.8 percent in May compared to April, rising to 3.450 million mt.
In the January-May period, Ukrainian imports of iron ore increased by 33 percent year on year to 1.157 million mt. In May alone, Ukraine's imports of iron ore decreased by 6.5 percent compared to April, falling to 203,000 mt.
