Ukrainian iron ore exports rise by 12 percent in January-April

According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in the January-April period of this year Ukraine's exports of iron ore increased by 12 percent compared to the same period last year to 12.570 million mt. Meanwhile, exports of iron ore from Ukraine decreased by 4.8 percent in April compared to March, falling to 3.170 million mt.

In the January-April period, Ukrainian imports of iron ore increased by 45 percent year on year to 983,000 mt. In April alone, Ukraine's imports of iron ore decreased by 17.2 percent compared to March, declining to 217,000 mt.
