Ukrainian ferroalloy output declines in January-April

In the January-April period of this year, Ukraine's ferroalloy production decreased by 20.8 percent compared to the same period last year to 260,100 mt, according to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers (UkrFA).

Accordingly, in the given period Ukraine's silicomanganese output decreased by 11.3 percent to 203,300 mt, while its ferromanganese production went down by 38.9 percent compared to January-April 2012.

Specifically, in the first four months of this year the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant's ferroalloy output decreased by five percent year on year to 183,000 mt, including 165,500 mt of silicomanganese and 17,500 mt of ferromanganese.
