Ukrainian ferroalloy output declines by 5.5 percent in Q1

In the first three months of this year, Ukraine's ferroalloy production decreased by 5.5 percent compared to the same period last year to 245,900 mt, as stated by the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers (UkrFA).

Accordingly, in the given period Ukraine's silicomanganese output increased by 4.2 percent to 198,500 mt, its ferromanganese production moved down by 10.7 percent to 22,600 mt, while its ferrosilicon output decreased by 50.9 percent to 21,800 mt, all compared to the first quarter of 2014.
