Ukrainian crude steel output forecast to decrease in August

According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in August this year Ukraine's crude steel production is predicted to total 2.68 million mt, down four percent compared to June.

According to Metallurgprom's forecast, pig iron output in Ukraine will amount to 2.3 million mt in August, down 5.3 percent compared to June, while production of rolled steel in the given month is expected to total 2.45 million mt, down 1.5 percent compared to June.

In July, Ukrainian companies plan to produce 2.87 million mt of crude steel, 2.46 million mt of pig iron and 2.56 million mt of rolled steel.
