Ukrainian crude steel output down 7% in January-May

In the first five months of the current year, Ukraine registered a seven percent decrease in its finished steel product output to 11.384 million mt, a seven percent decrease in its crude steel output to 12.908 million mt, and a one percent decline in its pig iron production to 12.013 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.

The country's production of metallurgical coke in the given five-month period declined by three percent year on year to 7.150 million mt.
