In the January-August period this year, Ukraine exported $5.72 billion worth of ferrous metals, down 40.3 percent year on year, according to the data released by State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In August alone, revenues from ferrous metal exports totaled $652.49 million, while in July the figure had amounted to $768.15 million.
Meanwhile, in January-August period of the current year, Ukraine’s imports of ferrous metals decreased by 47.9 percent to $455.35 million, including $66.09 million in August.
