Ukraine’s crude steel output down 20.4 percent in January-September

In the January-September period of the current year, Ukraine's crude steel output decreased by 20.4 percent to 17.09 million mt, its pig iron output fell 18.6 percent to 15.99 million mt and its finished steel production decreased by 20.8 percent to 14.95 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom.
 
In the same period, the country's metallurgical coke output declined by 25.2 percent year on year to 8.4 million mt, while steel pipe production decreased by 41.9 percent year on year to 644,000 mt.
 
Meanwhile, in September alone, Ukraine produced 2.06 million mt of crude steel, 1.75 million mt of finished steel products, and 2.03 million mt of pig iron.
