The Ukrainian seamless stainless steel tube producer Centravis Production Ukraine (Centravis), located in Nikopol city, will register a 25-30 percent decrease year on year in its tubes output in 2009, according to the forecast made by Centravis CEO Yuri Atanasov.

"However, in the fourth quarter of the current year and in 2010 we forecast an output increase, which will also be due to the signing of new contracts. The period when our clients were forced to reduce tube stocks and cut their orders is finished," Mr. Atanasov stated.

In addition, Mr. Atanasov said that next year Centravis intends to start its tube deliveries under new contracts to Brazil and North America. In particular, the company plans to engage in the supply of tubes for US holding company General Electric.

Centravis has a production capacity of 18,000 mt of seamless stainless steel tubes and delivers its products to more than 70 countries worldwide. In 2008, the company's total output volume amounted to 16,581 mt, while its sales volume came to 16,939 mt.
