Ukraine’s Q1 ferroalloys output increases by 2.84 times

According to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers (UkrFA), in Q1 2010 Ukraine increased its ferroalloys production by 2.84 times compared to the same period last year to 375,400 mt.

Accordingly, during the first three months of 2010, Ukraine's silicomanganese output increased by 2.7 times to 248,800 mt, its ferromanganese production went up by 4.5 times to 69,800 mt, its ferrosilicon output increased by 2.36 times to 52,400 mt, while its metallic manganese production went up by 91 percent to 4,400 mt, all compared to the same period of 2009.
