Ukraine’s pig iron exports drop by 35 percent in Jan from Dec levels

In January 2011, Ukraine's pig iron exports went up by 28 percent compared to January 2010, but decreased by 35 percent compared to December 2010, amounting to 108,130 mt, valued at $45.8 million.

Accordingly, 57,640 mt of Ukraine's pig iron exports in January this year (equal to a share of 53.3 percent) were delivered to Turkey, 47,380 mt (equal to a 43.8 percent share) were shipped to Italy, 1,600 mt (equal to a 1.5 percent share) were exported to the Austria, and 1,510 mt (equal to a 1.4 percent share) were delivered to Bulgaria
