Ukraine’s metallurgical sector posts UAH 1.11 billion loss in Jan-Feb

According to the data issued by the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, in January-February this year Ukraine's metallurgical sector registered an aggregate loss of UAH 1.11 billion (about $139.3 million) compared to the aggregate loss of about UAH 2.437 billion (about $306 million) in January-February 2010.
 
Accordingly, in the January-February period of the current year, 52 percent of all Ukrainian metallurgical companies posted a combined profit of about UAH 982 million (about $123 million), while the remaining 48 percent of companies registered a combined loss of UAH 2.092 billion (about $262.5 million).
