Ukraine’s long steel product export earnings down in August from July

According to the data released by Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in August this year Ukraine exported $215.5 million worth of long steel products, while imports of these products totaled $8.19 million.

Despite the tense situation between the two countries, Russia was one of the main importers of Ukrainian long products in August, with a total value of $65.1 million.

In the January-August period of the current year, Ukraine exported $2.0085 billion worth of long products, with imports of long steel totaling a value of $92.7 million.

In July this year, Ukraine had exported $299.1 million worth of long steel products, while imports of such products reaching a value of $21 million.
