Ukraine’s long steel imports down 18 percent in November from October

In November 2010, Ukraine's long steel product imports saw an 18 percent decrease month on month but a 67.3 percent increase year on year, totaling 32,700 mt. Of this volume, 21,940 mt came from Russia, 3,320 mt from Romania, 2,920 mt from Belarus, 1,820 mt from Poland, and 770 mt were imported from China.

Ukraine's expenditure on imports of long steel products in November was down by 14.3 percent compared to October, decreasing to $33.37 million.

In January-November this year, Ukraine's imports of long steel products increased by 85 percent year on year to 346,170 mt, valued at $317.3 million.
