Ukraine’s iron ore production down six percent in January-February

In the January-February period of this year, Ukraine's production of iron ore declined by six percent year on year to 12.556 million mt, including 10.313 million mt of iron ore concentrate, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.

Ukraine's output of prepared iron ore raw materials in the period in question declined by 19 percent year on year to 8.669 million mt, including 5.052 million mt of agglomerate, down 24 percent, and 3.617 million mt of pellets, down 11 percent year on year.

In the January-February period this year, Ukraine's iron ore exports rose by 16 percent year on year to 6.9 million mt, while shipments to the domestic market declined by 38 percent year on year to 3.4 million mt.
