Ukraine’s industrial prices increase by 2.4 percent in October over September

According to Ukraine's State Committee of Statistics, in October 2010 prices for industrial products in Ukraine accelerated their month-on-month increase rate to 2.4 percent, compared to growths of 0.1 percent in September and 0.9 percent in August. Since the beginning of this year, prices for industrial products in Ukraine have increased by 18 percent compared with 12.7 percent in the same period last year.

In its processing industry, Ukraine saw a 2.1 percent increase it its October prices. Specifically, prices for products from the coke and chemical industry went up by 4.5 percent and 4.3 percent respectively, while prices in metallurgical production and production of finished metal products, in wood processing and production of related products (except furniture), in rubber and plastic production, in other nonmetallic mineral production, and in vehicle and equipment production went up by 2.4-1.4 percent.
