Ukraine’s flat steel imports and exports rise in January-October

In the first 10 months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 7.8 percent increase year on year in its flat steel imports to 760,000 mt. In October alone, Ukraine's flat steel imports decreased by 3.1 percent compared to September, falling to 91,100 mt.

On the other hand, in the first 10 months of 2011 Ukraine's flat steel exports increased by 16.6 percent year on year to 6.349 million mt. In October alone, Ukraine's flat steel exports decreased by 2.9 percent compared to September, declining to 525,200 mt.
