Ukraine’s finished steel, pig iron and coke outputs decline in April from March

Ukraine's finished steel production in April of this year amounted to 2.573 million mt, down 7.6 percent compared to March, according to the source from the Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers. In addition, Ukrainian output of pig iron in the given period decreased by 3.9 percent to 2.414 million mt, while production of coke went down by three percent to 1.606 million mt - both compared to March levels.

In the January-April period of the current year, Ukraine saw a 9.1 percent increase year on year in its finished steel production to 10.229 million mt, a one percent rise in its pig iron production to 9.541 million mt and a 5.2 percent increase in coke output to 6.359 million mt - all on year-on-year basis.
