Ukraine’s ferrous metal export revenues up 21.9 percent in H1

In the first half of the current year, Ukraine exported $4.08 billion worth of ferrous metals, up 21.9 percent year on year, according to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. In June alone, revenues from ferrous metal exports amounted to $703.43 million.

In the January-June period, ferrous metals accounted for 19.77 percent of the total export revenues of the country, decreasing from 20.13 percent registered in the same period of the previous year.

In the first six months of this year, Ukraine’s ferrous metal imports increased in value by 37.7 percent year on year to $501.05 million, while in June alone imported ferrous metals totaled $101.78 million.
