Ukraine’s automotive output falls 18 percent in H1

According to the data issued by the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association - Ukrautoprom, in H1 2010 Ukrainian automakers produced 30,989 vehicles, registering an 18 percent decrease year on year. In particular, during the period in question, local automakers produced 27,251 cars - down 25 percent, 1,114 buses - up 2.4 times, and 2,624 trucks - up 2.7 times, all compared to January-June 2009.

In June this year no increase in automakers' output was registered as compared to May (in May the month-on month growth amounted to 1 percent, while in April the increase was 27 percent month on month). In June, Ukraine's automotive output amounted to 6,780 units, including 5,950 cars - down one percent, 627 trucks - up16 percent, and 203 buses - down five percent, all compared to May.
