The Ukrainian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has announced that the trade representative of Ukraine, Natalia Mykolska, will visit Egypt on August 18-19 to discuss issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and the possibility of increasing Ukrainian exports.

The Ukrainian trade representative will negotiate with Egyptian officials on the possibility of the removal of the import duty on Ukrainian rebar. The ministry said that, in case of new trade tariffs by Egypt, Ukrainian exports may decline further.

Egypt imposed a safeguard duty on rebar and wire rod imports in April 2015 for three years.
