Ukraine imports 9.65 million mt of coal in January-August

In the January-August period this year, Ukraine imported $1.12 billion worth of coal and anthracite, while in August alone the import value totaled $138.12 million, according to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
 
The total volume of coal and anthracite import shipments to Ukraine in the January-August period amounted to 9.65 million mt.
 
In the first eight months of this year, Ukraine's coal imports from Russia totaled $498.77 million in value, while its coal imports from the US amounted to $304.05 million, coal imports from Australia totaled $89.07 million, and coal imports from other countries came to $229.45 million.
 
Exports of Ukrainian coal totaled 411,234 mt in the January-August period this year, worth $37.78 million.
