Ukraine intends to conduct negotiations for cancellation or reduction of antidumping measures imposed on its steel products exports.
Accordingly, in the first quarter of 2009, Ukraine is to negotiate with US the revision of antidumping duties imposed on its exports of HRC, rebar and ferrosilicomanganese, which currently are at the level of 90.33 percent, 41.69 percent and 163 percent respectively.
For the second quarter of 2009, Ukraine plans the negotiations for the revision of antidumping duties on its seamless pipe exports imposed by EU (12.3-25.7 percent), on its CRC and HRC exports imposed by Argentina (71.22 percent and +$360/mt respectively), on its HRC exports imposed by Peru (24.1-59.45 percent), and on its HRC and rebar exports imposed by Mexico (46.66-60.1 percent and 30.5 percent respectively).
Furthermore, in the third quarter of 2009, Ukraine intends to negotiate with Venezuela the revision of antidumping duties on its HRC and CRC exports (62.92 percent and 55.01 percent respectively), and with Russia the revision of antidumping duties on its pipe exports (11.4-55.3 percent). Meanwhile, the negotiation with Canada regarding the revision of antidumping duties imposed on the Ukrainian flats and HRC exports (63 percent) is planned to be carried out in the fourth quarter of 2009.
