Ukraine to increase iron ore output in 2014

According to the forecast of state enterprise Ukrainian Industrial External Expertize, a leading company in Ukraine in the sphere of marketing and expert estimations of foreign economic contracts, Ukraine may increase its iron ore raw materials (IORM) output in 2014 to 82.1 million mt (without considering agglomerate deliveries from Ukrainian mill Ilyich), up 0.9 million mt compared to 2013, including 38.3 million mt for export (up 0.5 million mt year on year) and 47.1 million mt for the domestic market (from 46.3 million mt in 2013).

In the whole of 2013, Ukraine produced 81.2 million mt of IORM, up 4.8 percent compared to 2012.
