Ukraine seeks expert advice on customs valuation

To determine the customs value of commodities and services exported from the Ukraine, an expert council on the base of world market prices will be gathered, Yulia Timoshenko, the prime minister of Ukraine stated in a press conference today. According to the Ukrainian press reports, the new system of customs cost of the exported goods and services is provided today by the decision accepted "about the non-admission of tax for the export profits." The prime minister emphasized the importance of both internal and external tax payment. This decision is regarded as a first step of measures to be taken by the government for the 2006-2007 economic plan. According to the statement of the Prime Minister, the tax rates will be reduced, however, the tax base needs to be enlarged and the inaccuracies need to be removed simultaneously, in 2006.
