Ukraine releases Jan-Oct production results

According to the data released by Ukraine's Ministry of Industrial Policy, during the January-October 2006 period, Ukraine increased production of finished steel products, crude steel and pig iron by seven percent each year on year to 28.5 million metric tons, 33.9 million metric tons and 27.2 million metric tons respectively. At the same time, the country saw a 0.4 percent decrease in coke output to 15.7 million metric tons, while the pipe production rose by 13 percent to 2.2 million metric tons. During the period in question, Ukraine ore producers registered a seven percent increase in iron ore output to 60.4 million metric tons, a seven percent increase in iron ore concentrate output to 46.8 million metric tons, an 18 percent increase in pellets production to 17.2 million metric tons and a 0.4 percent increase in agglomerate production to 39.4 million metric tons.
