Ukraine releases 2006 production results

In 2006, Ukraine recorded a seven percent increase in its pig iron production, a six percent increase in its crude steel production and a seven percent raise in its finished steel products output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 32.9 million, 41 million and 36.2 million. On the other hand, the country's ferroalloy production saw a 7.8 percent decrease to 1.4 million metric tons during the same period.
