Ukraine issues semi-finished import and export data for January

In January this year, Ukraine's semi-finished steel product exports saw a 15 percent year-on-year increase to 963,840 mt, valued at about $515.4 million, while its imports of semi-finished steel products increased by 37 percent year on year to 27,800 mt, valued at $18.9 million.
 
Ukraine's main semi-finished steel product export destinations in January this year were Italy (245,000 mt), Lebanon (165,060 mt), Syria (85,760 mt), India (79,210 mt), and Egypt (65,530 mt).

Meanwhile, of the total 27,800 mt of semi-finished steel products imported in Ukraine in January, 22,200 mt came from Russia, 5,000 mt from Belarus, and 510 mt were imported from Romania.
