Ukraine issues production results for January-February

In the January-February period of the current year, Ukraine registered a 30.2 percent decrease in its finished steel product output to 3.058 million mt, a 29.2 percent decrease in its crude steel output to 3.462 million mt, and a 30.5 percent decline in its pig iron production to 3.153 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.

The country's production of metallurgical coke in the given period declined by 42.1 percent year on year to 1.635 million mt.

In February alone, Ukraine produced  1.588 million mt of crude steel - down 15.3 percent, 1.341 million of finished steel products - down 21.9 percent, and 1.433 million mt of pig iron - down 16.7 percent, all on month-on-month basis.
