Ukraine issues production results for January-August

In the first eight months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 0.4 percent decrease in its finished steel product output to 19.596 million mt, a 0.7 percent increase in its crude steel output to 22.156 million mt, and a 1.9 percent rise in its pig iron production to 19.455 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.

The country's production of metallurgical coke in the given period declined by 8.4 percent year on year to 11.860 million mt.

In August alone, Ukraine produced  2.806 million mt of crude steel, down 0.1 percent month on month.
