Ukraine issues January-October production results

According to the preliminary data, in the first 10 months of the current year Ukraine registered a six percent growth year on year in its finished steel product output to 25.410 million mt, a 7.7 percent increase in its crude steel output to 29.054 million mt and a 6.4 percent rise in its pig iron production to 24.083 million mt.

The country's production of metallurgical coke went up by 6.7 percentyear on year to 16.347 million mt during the first 10 months of 2011.
In the January-October period this year, Ukraine produced 54.698 million mt of iron ore concentrate and 11.424 million mt of sintering ore - up 2.8 period and 2.5 percent respectively compared to the same period last year.

In October alone, Ukraine produced 2.588 million mt of finished steel products - up five percent, 3.012 million mt of crudesteel - up four percent, 2.562 million mt of pig iron - up seven percent, and 1.685 million mt of metallurgical coke - up four percent, all on month-on-month basis.
