In January-August this year, Ukraine's imports of ferroalloys decreased by 18.3 percent year on year to 71,370 mt, while its exports went up by 87.8 percent year on year to 763,910 mt.
In August this year, Ukraine's ferroalloy imports decreased by 21.2 percent month on month and by 19.8 percent year on year to 8,800 mt. Specifically, in August Ukraine's ferrosilicomanganese imports decreased by 9.5 percent to 4,760 mt, its ferromanganese imports dropped by 38.2 percent to 470 mt, while its ferrosilicon imports went up by 48.3 percent to 1,690 mt, all compared to July.
Meanwhile, during the month in question, Ukraine's ferroalloy exports dropped by 25.4 percent month on month and by 16.4 percent year on year to 74,610 mt, including 50,500 mt of ferrosilicomanganese - down 20.7 percent, 7,410 mt of ferromanganese - down 66.6 percent, and 4,500 mt of ferrosilicon - up 15.4 percent, all compared to July.
