Ukraine issues August coke import and export data

In August this year, Ukraine increased its coke exports by 5.5 percent month on month to 173,210 mt, which is also over double the volume recorded in August last year (85,630 mt).
 
Of the country's total coke exports in August this year, 92,090 mt were delivered to Iran, 32,700 mt were supplied to Russia, 9,790 mt were shipped to Slovakia, 7,160 mt were exported to Romania, 6,330 were delivered to Bulgaria, and 5,270 mt were supplied to Sweden. The value of coke export sales in August was slightly down by about 0.4 percent compared to July, amounting to $59 million.

In January-August this year, Ukraine's coke export volume increased by 63.3 percent year on year to 933,510 mt, valued at $265.45 million.  
  
On the other hand, in August this year Ukraine's coke import volume declined by 32.4 percent month on month and by 74.2 percent year on year to 1,630 mt, imported only from Poland.

Meanwhile, in the first eight months of 2010 the country's imports of coke increased by 12 times year on year to 207,420 mt, valued at $57.64 million.
