According to the data released by the Ukrainian Department of Energy and Coal Industry, in January-July of the current year Ukraine's run-of-mine coal production rose by 9.8 percent compared to the same period of last year, increasing to 47.5 million mt.
In the given period, Ukraine produced 32.7 million mt of power-generating coal, up 15.1 percent year on year, and 14.8 million mt of coking coal, down 0.4 percent year on year.
