Last Friday, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade of Ukraine took a decision to impose preliminary antidumping (AD) duty against imports of steel ropes and cables from Russia in the amount of 32.63 percent for a period of four months. On the expiration of the 4 month-period, Stalkanat and Siluet, Ukrainian producers of the products in question and the original initiators of AD investigations against the Russian imports, are intended to petition for imposition of the final AD duty for a period of five years. The official statement on the issue is expected to be published soon.
