Ukrainian association of pipe producers Ukrtruboprom sent a note to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in which it stated the imposition of antidumping measures on Ukrainian imports of seamless pipes by the EU as discriminative. In the document, Ukrtruboprom, in particular, stated the facts of serious errors made by the European Commission (EC) in calculation of possible losses of the European pipe producers from imports of Ukrainian seamless pipes. According to the association, the independent investigations on the issue made by Ukrainian experts make it possible to claim that, during the duration of the AD investigation against the Ukrainian seamless pipes imports, the EC violated the rights and interests of the Ukrainian producers as of the subjects of external economical activities. Accordingly, Ukrainian producers of seamless pipes are insisting on introduction of counter measures against imports from the EU, which is perfectly complies with Ukrainian law on discrimination.
