Turnover of Turkish basic metals manufacture down 6.58 percent in November

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in November 2009 decreased by 3.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and was down 8.6 percent over October.

In November, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey witnessed a drop of 6.58 percent year on year and registered a decrease of 12.75 percent over the previous month.

Meanwhile, in the month in question, the monthly industrial new orders index for the manufacture of basic metals declined by 4.91 percent over October and was up 0.78 percent year on year.
